EAST LANSING — It seemed like a fair trade for an 11th-hour campaign stop in another state where polls indicate Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul likely will finish out of the money in today’s Michigan primary.

For almost an hour Monday afternoon, the Texas congressman showed the people his familiar, libertarian-flavored way of the wilderness. In exchange, the overflow crowd at the 3,700-seat Michigan State University Auditorium showed him the love.

Paul walked onto the stage to a 40-second standing ovation. His standard-stump-speech call for dismantling federal government as it has been known for at least two generations drew applause, cheers and chants — “President Paul, President Paul” primarily.

There is a sea change happening now in 2012, as Americans reject en mass a tired neoconservative mantra, one which has brought the Republic to its knees.

Globalist operators like William Kristol are fading, as their flawed ideologies become replaced by emerging revolutionaries. Only one candidate in the 2012 race has successfully captured the imagination of America’s youth – Ron Paul, because he is actually addressing the real issues affect them. Likewise, corporate raiders like Mitt Romney represent the ethnic of the old guard – men who have spent their business careers asset-stripping companies, know much less about building wealth than they do about extracting it at someone else’s expense.

Watch these two short videos and watch how Dr Ron Paul stacks up against the rest…

Americans must get out and make their vote count in 2012.

WASHINGTON — Two stories came out of New Hampshire. The big story was Mitt Romney. The bigger one was Ron Paul.

Romney won a major victory with nearly 40 percent of the vote, 16 points ahead of No. 2. The split among his challengers made the outcome even more decisive. Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich were diminished by distant, lower-tier finishes. Rick Perry got less than 1 percent. And Jon Huntsman, who staked everything on New Hampshire, came in a weak third with less than half of Romney’s vote. He practically moved to the state — and then received exactly one-sixth of the vote in a six-man contest. Where does he go from here?

But the bigger winner was Ron Paul. He got 21 percent in Iowa, 23 in New Hampshire, the only candidate other than Romney to do well with two very different electorates, one more evangelical and socially conservative, the other more moderate and fiscally conservative.

Ron Paul is not going to go away

The next generation of leaders in America are Ron Paul fans
Steve Watson Infowars.com January 12, 2012

When Congressman Ron Paul embarked on a third Presidential campaign he did so with one over riding aim – to engage the next generation of Americans and provide them with the platform to restore the principles of the Constitution. The facts show that he has overwhelmingly succeeded.

Tuesday’s primary in New Hampshire saw the Congressman net almost half of all votes from people aged between 18 and 29 years old. Paul received 47 percent of young voter support, data collated by the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning & Engagement shows.

“Dr. Paul’s 47 percent support from 18- to 29-year-olds was the strongest level of support for any candidate by any age group.” said CIRCLE Director Peter Levine in a press release.
Ron Paul stormed the primary among young voters by a margin of 22 percentage points, more than doubling his youth votes since the 2008 New Hampshire primary. In comparison, Mitt Romney drew around the same number of young voters as he did four years ago, roughly 25 percent. Even now, Paul, a Texas Congressman, is again closing the gap in the New Hampshire primary. A Suffolk University/7 News poll published on Saturday had Romney at 35%, down from 40% two days before. Paul rose to 20% from 17. 15% are undecided.

Republican presidential frontrunners may come and go, beaten into submission by the mainstream media spotlight or Romney Super Pac ad spots, but the two intense political factions – smaller government constitutionalists and foreign policy non-interventionists – that make up Ron Paul’s support are of the sort that “never say die.”

While other candidates were speaking at coffeehouses and diners on the day before the Iowa caucuses, Ron Paul was greeted by a crowd of 500 and scores of national media who packed a downtown hotel ballroom for a morning event.

“This is almost like a real rally,” the Republican presidential hopeful exclaimed. “This is great!”

Polls show Paul in a position to pull off an upset victory in the caucuses Tuesday night, an accomplishment that, if it happens, would amount to one extremely sharp stick in the eye of the GOP establishment.

NEWTON, Iowa — As they waited for a bus dubbed the “Constitution Coach” to pick them up at the Des Moines airport and bring them to their makeshift lodgings late Tuesday, about two-dozen college-aged Ron Paul volunteers mingled in the cold night air.

The sudden appearance of a reporter’s notebook and tape recorder drew comments befitting a group of young people who proudly wear their skepticism on their sleeves.

“What’s the article you’re going to be writing, man?”

“Yeah, what’s the spin, bro?”

Asked where they had flown in from, the answers ranged from California to Virginia — with one twenty-something purporting to have made the trip from Brazil to help Paul win the Iowa caucuses on Tuesday.

LeMars, Ia. — Ron Paul used his first campaign appearance of the day here to fight back against the claim that his foreign policy views are “dangerous.”

Fellow GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum leveled that criticism against the congressman this morning during a FOX News interview.

“When government gets too big” — that’s dangerous, the 76-year-old Texan told a crowd of 200 in LeMars.

He chuckled as he offered his audience members a tongue-in-cheek advisory about the contents of his stump speech.

“I will be talking a lot about personal liberty and our Constitution, but I will warn you, it’s been described as a ‘very dangerous’ philosophy,” Paul said.

December 28, 2011, 5:45 pm By NATE SILVER

I’m not always a big fan of dissecting individual polls — mostly because there are liable to be a plethora of them in Iowa and New Hampshire over the next several days and their errors will tend to be mitigated as more are added to the average.

Nevertheless, the new CNN poll of Iowa contains a methodological quirk that is worth bringing to your attention and which will probably result in the survey underestimating the support for Ron Paul.

The issue is that CNN’s Iowa poll was conducted by using a list of registered Republican voters and registered Republicans only:

“I love Ron Paul,” Clarkson wrote on Thursday. “I liked him a lot during the last republican nomination and no one gave him a chance. If he wins the nomination for the Republican party in 2012 he’s got my vote. Too bad he probably won’t.”

NEWTON, Iowa (AP) — Texas Rep. Ron Paul received a welcome befitting a man with a suddenly serious chance to win next week’s Iowa Republican presidential caucuses as he arrived in the state Wednesday for a final burst of campaigning.

His rivals attacked him, one by one.

If the 76-year-old libertarian-leaning conservative was bothered, he didn’t let it show. He unleashed a television commercial that hit Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. In his remarks, he lumped all his rivals into one unappealing category.

“There’s a lot of status quo politicians out there,” Paul told a crowd of a few dozen potential caucus-goers who turned out to hear him on the grounds of the Iowa Speedway. “If you pick another status quo politician nothing’s going to change.”

Raw footage shows Ron Paul DIDN’T storm out of CNN interview over racist newsletters… the interview was simply done
By MEGHAN KENEALLY

Reports that Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul stormed out of a CNN interview earlier this week seem to be dramatically over-exaggerated.
Raw footage of the Thursday interview shows that it lasted nearly ten minutes, which is not unusually brief on the campaign trail.

After discussing foreign policy, the payroll tax, negative advertisements, and super fund PACs, the interview concluded with three whole minutes of discussion on the issue of the incendiary racist and homophobic letters that were published in Mr Paul’s name in the Eighties and Nineties.

Establishment reverts back to pretending Paul doesn’t exist
Paul Joseph Watson Infowars.com Tuesday, December 20, 2011

From rightly heralding the Iowa primary as a crucial indicator as to who will eventually capture the GOP nomination, the establishment has closed ranks and now decided that a Ron Paul victory doesn’t count and that the focus will be on who finishes second.

A Politico article entitled Ron Paul panic seizes Iowa establishment perfectly illustrates the supreme arrogance of the very political elite Paul is fighting against and goes a step beyond Fox News pundit Chris Wallace’s insistence that the Iowa result “won’t count” if Ron Paul wins.

Despite the fact that two out of the last three winners of the Iowa primary have gone on to successfully capture the Republican nomination, the political class have decided that Ron Paul doesn’t deserve the opportunity to build the same kind of momentum, and that a victory for him in Iowa “would do irreparable harm to the future role of the first-in-the-nation caucuses.”
