Activists angered as “Carnage”continues as 51 shot and 9 dead this past Labor Day weekend including a 8 year old little girl and a 32 year old woman. Want National Guard deployed by Governor J.B. Pritzker and to declare “State of Emergency” and for President Trump to intervene know to restore “Law and Order”.

Chicago, IL- Chicago continues to witness the outlandish destructive behavior of gun violence and crime that has taken over our streets without a solution. On Sunday morning around 9:35 a.m., a 32 year old woman was working at the Walgreens in the 1300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue when she was approached by someone who stabbed her multiple times before fleeing, the scene. The victim was then pronounced dead at the scene. On Monday evening, a 8 year old little girl was slain in the Canaryville area.

The carnage continues in Chicago with almost 500 murders presently with it escalating every week. Just this Labor Day weekend there eas 51 shot with at least 9 dead. Chicago residents continue to witness the outlandish destructive behavior of gun violence and crime that has taken over the streets and holding people hostage in their homes.

The idea of bringing in the National Guard has been raised for several months to help eradicate the violence but their has been contention. This week aldermen will have a vote on having the National Guard deployed in the City of Chicago to help the Chicago Police with efforts to curb and stop gun violence that has spiked tremendously.

On Monday, activists will spearhead a press conference/ vigil in Little Village to discuss crime statistics and demand that the National Guard be deployed immediately by Governor J.B. Pritzker and to declare a state of emergency with efforts to help eradicate the gun violence and crime in our city that is out of control. We feel that our mayor Lori Lightfoot has failed to protect the residents and children of the City of Chicago without taking responsibility for what’s needed for the best interest to salvage our city. We will also encourage all 50 aldermen to vote in favor of having the National Guard deployed in the City of Chicago. We also want for President Donald Trump to intervene to restore “law and order”.
