One of the most popular buzz phrases used in education the last decade or so is “technology.” Teachers are being pushed to use technology to enhance instruction, but how exactly does one do that? Furthermore, does technology always enhance instruction, or are there times when it detracts? A wise friend once told me that we should avoid using a calculator to solve a task if counting rocks on the floor is quicker, and I think that may illustrate the crux.
