First Sip Cafe is a coffee and tea shop at 1057 W Argyle St in Uptown, on the Argyle Street corridor near the CTA Red Line’s Argyle stop. The cafe’s menu blends Vietnamese coffee and tea culture with Western-style bites, including specialties like ube Vietnamese coffee, pandan matcha and coconut jasmine Vietnamese iced coffee, plus lattes in flavors such as spicy mango, pistachio mint and orange blossom.
Savory items round out the counter, including pork bao and street empanadas alongside pastries, served in a small storefront space along one of Uptown’s dining strips.
Beyond coffee service, First Sip Cafe also functions as a neighborhood gathering spot, hosting listening sessions, live comedy, trivia nights and other community programming.
