Han Ramyun has opened at 1137 W. Taylor St. in Little Italy, near UIC and Rush, describing itself as Chicago’s first instant ramyun self-cooking café.
The shop is built around what it calls a giant wall of packaged ramyun. Customers pick a flavor, add toppings such as eggs, cheese, kimchi, vegetables, dumplings, seafood or meat, and prepare their own bowl at one of the café’s self-cooking stations.
Han Ramyun also operates as a convenience store alongside the café, with packaged snacks and drinks on hand. More information is at hanramyun.com.
Han Ramyun is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours and updates are posted on its website and on Instagram, @hanramyun.
