Cafe Deko has been serving specialty coffee from its Art Deco-themed storefront at 800 W. Diversey Pkwy in Lake View since 2021. The shop’s interior pairs vintage-inspired fixtures with a vibrant, plant-filled dining room, plus a small outdoor patio for warmer months.
The menu centers on a house specialty blend with tasting notes of chocolate, citrus, apricot, almond and plum, pulled as espresso and drip coffee alongside organic teas. Customers can also order Freddo espresso and cappuccino, sandwiches and pastries.
The Diversey cafe is the original location of a small, locally owned pair of shops; Cafe Deko has since opened a second location in Printer’s Row at 715 S. Dearborn St.
Cafe Deko on Diversey is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Orders can be placed online for pickup. More information is available at cafedeko.com or by calling (773) 661-6425.
