Offset BBQ serves slow-smoked barbecue at 1720 N. California Ave. in Humboldt Park, near the California Avenue entrance to the 606 trail. The kitchen smokes chicken, pork, brisket and St. Louis-style ribs over an offset smoker, the style the restaurant is named for, and serves the meats by the pound or built into sandwiches, salads and rice bowls.
The menu runs from platters — a barbecued half chicken, St. Louis ribs and an all-beef platter — to sandwiches like the beef brisket, pulled BBQ chicken and a brisket-topped BBBLT, plus rice bowls such as the BBQ bibimbap and Abuelita’s Rice Bowl. Sides include smoked sweet potato, mac and cheese, elote and brisket chili, and weekend brunch adds dishes like chilaquiles with smoked chicken and a brisket breakfast sandwich.
