Shokolad Pastry & Cafe serves Ukrainian and European café fare from its longtime storefront at 2524 W. Chicago Ave., at the southern end of Ukrainian Village. The counter-service café pairs a pastry case of European-style cakes and desserts with a full breakfast-and-lunch menu, available for dine-in, phone orders or DoorDash delivery.
The everyday menu runs from coffee and three-egg omelets to soups, salads and varenyky — Ukrainian dumplings, including a dedicated pierogi selection. Entrees come with a side salad and a choice of potatoes, noodles, rice or buckwheat, and the kitchen also turns out panini and cold sandwiches, with a rotating slate of daily specials.
