Taste Food & Wine, a wine and specialty food shop at 1506 W. Jarvis Ave. in the Jarvis Square stretch of Rogers Park, carries wines from around the world alongside craft beer, small-batch spirits, artisan cheese and charcuterie, and handmade chocolates.
The shop has anchored the Jarvis Square business strip for close to two decades, building a following around its staff’s wine picks and its role as a neighborhood gathering spot.
Taste hosts regular wine tastings on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a $5 tasting fee that supports a different local nonprofit each month, plus monthly classes on wine pairings and basics. See the current lineup and shop the wine selection at taste-food-wine.square.site.
