Bub City is a barbecue restaurant, whiskey bar and live country music venue at 435 N. Clark St. in River North, with a stage for live bands, a happy hour and a late-night menu on weekends.
The kitchen’s house-smoked barbecue includes brisket, baby back ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken wings and sausage, served alongside sides such as mac and cheese, cornbread and coleslaw. The bar carries more than 125 whiskeys, plus house cocktails, margaritas, Bloody Marys and canned High Noon cocktails.
Live music runs most nights of the week: Live Band Karaoke on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m., a DJ-hosted Sing-Along party on Thursdays at 9 p.m., and country and rock bands on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m. Bub City also serves weekend brunch.
Bub City is open Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to midnight, Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Current hours, the full menu and reservations are at bub-city.com.
