It was only a matter of time. Chicago’s love of cider is well-documented and even birthed the city’s first-ever Cider Summit last year. This spring, Ravenswood will become home to Chicago’s first bar devoted primarily to cider, with more than 100 varieties on tap and in bottles.

The management team behind beer-centric bars Fountainhead and The Bar on Buena already has taken over a space at 4337 N. Lincoln Ave., which they are currently operating under the name Meantime. Upon closing and reopening this spring, the bar will be rechristened The Northman (it had previously been home to Jury’s and Copper House).
