Galleria Marchetti Hosts Weddings and Events in a West Town Garden

Galleria Marchetti, the special-events venue at 825 W. Erie St. in West Town, continues to host weddings and private celebrations in its garden-set spaces. The Marchetti family’s hospitality history in Chicago dates to 1924, when Giuseppe Marchetti opened the Como Inn restaurant. In the mid-1990s, Joe Marchetti converted the Erie Street property, previously his classic-car business International Auto Ltd., into Galleria Marchetti; it is now owned and operated by JP Marchetti and his wife, Corey Smith.

The venue is built around two spaces. The Pavilion is a 6,000-square-foot tented ballroom that seats up to 450 guests, while La Pergola is a 3,000-square-foot glass-enclosed ballroom with a retractable roof that seats up to 180. Both open onto a shared outdoor garden courtyard with an Italian-designed arbor and wood-fired pizza ovens.

Galleria Marchetti handles weddings, corporate events and private social gatherings with an in-house catering team, bar staff and event coordinators. More on the spaces and packages is at galleriamarchetti.com.
