Jerk Society has put down roots at 8100 S Stony Island Ave. in Avalon Park, describing itself on its website as a “family-owned, neighborhood-minded” Caribbean-fusion kitchen with “Caribbean roots, Chicago energy.”
The menu covers jerk chicken, jerk wings, jerk salmon and jerk shrimp dinners, curry chicken, brown stew chicken, curry shrimp, oxtail and oxtail Alfredo, ceviche catfish, jerk red snapper, jerk egg rolls, jerk nachos and callaloo, along with family packs, sides and a weekday lunch menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
