La Cubanita Mexican Restaurant has opened at 1511 W. Devon Ave. in Edgewater, serving a menu that blends Mexican and Cuban cooking under one roof.
Breakfast includes chilaquiles, which the restaurant’s Instagram describes as a full Mexican breakfast “lleno de sabor y tradición.” The kitchen also serves a slow-cooked turkey leg (pierna de pavo), tacos and burritos filled with chicken, al pastor or chorizo, Cuban sandwiches, steak nachos and fried plantains.
A standing lunch deal aimed at nearby Loyola University students prices a Cuban Sandwich at $11.99, a Taco Dinner at $12.99, a Burrito Dinner at $11.99 and Steak Nachos at $14.99. Orders can also be placed for delivery through Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub.
