Meddle Coffee Bar, the West Loop cafe from Chicago-based Dark Matter Coffee, serves specialty coffee and espresso drinks at 601 W. Jackson Blvd., a few blocks from Union Station. The shop was Dark Matter’s first downtown location, built around what the company calls a “Psychedelegance” design — purple swirling floors, white subway tile and purple neon accents.
The menu runs through Dark Matter’s espresso-based lineup, including lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, macchiatos and pour-overs, alongside signature drinks like the cinnamon-and-cayenne Mayan Mocha, the honey-sweetened Cafe Miel and the Barrel Mocha. Cold brew, drip coffee and single-origin offerings round out the menu.
