Mi Gente Café has opened at 5237 N Harlem Ave in Norwood Park, serving Puerto Rican and Latin American dishes made fresh daily. The cafe pairs an all-day menu with brunch service and a room available for private events such as birthday parties, pop-up shops and showers.
The menu includes jibaritos, empanadas and sandwiches filled with pork, steak, chicken or ropa vieja, alongside dinner plates with rice, beans and sides, burritos and tacos dorados. Brunch, served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., features sandwiches, chilaquiles and egg plates. Sides include tostones and maduros, with desserts such as flan, churros, pastelitos and Mi Gente toast, plus fresh coffee.
Mi Gente Café is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and closed Monday and Tuesday. Orders can be placed for pickup, or by calling (708) 500-8133.
