Pastorelli Foods Has Made Italian Sauces in the West Loop Since 1927

Pastorelli Foods is a family-owned Italian food manufacturer headquartered at 162 N. Sangamon St. in the West Loop, with its warehouse at 901 W. Lake St. It is not a restaurant or shop, and its facilities are not open to the public.

The company traces its roots to Amedeo Pastorelli’s food business near Rome and has been making Italian foods in Chicago since 1927. Now in its fifth generation, it produces tomato products, recipe-ready sauces, vinegars and oils, and says it pioneered the first fully prepared canned pizza sauce in the 1950s.
