Pizza Friendly Pizza serves thick, Sicilian-style pizza by the slice and whole pie from an alley space at 1039 N. Western Ave. in Ukrainian Village, next door to the Empty Bottle. The spot has been part of the neighborhood’s pizza scene since 2020, with an indoor dining room added in 2021.
The menu runs on a short list of square pies finished with housemade sauce: Pepperoni & Basil, Sausage & Giardiniera, a vegan Miso & Mushroom, Garden Delight, Burrata & Formaggio, and Pesto & Potato, each sold as a $6 slice or $32 whole pie. Combos include a Dinner for Two, a six-slice Slice Flight, and a build-your-own nine-slice Slice Box, alongside Caesar and kale salads, breadsticks, and a drink list of Sicilian sodas, Mexican Coke, and Topo Chico.
Pizza Friendly Pizza is a project of the hospitality group 16″ On Center with chef Noah Sandoval, known locally for his tasting-menu restaurant Oriole. The pizzeria’s site lists the full current menu and merchandise alongside contact information for the shop.
Pizza Friendly Pizza offers pickup and delivery through Toast, DoorDash, Caviar, Uber Eats, and Grubhub in addition to dine-in seating. Current hours and ordering links are posted at pizzafriendlypizza.com/chicago and on its Instagram, @pizzafriendlypizzachi.
