Top Dog Daycare & Hotel is now operating at 625 N. Kingsbury St. in River North, offering supervised dog daycare, overnight boarding, enrichment sessions and grooming under one roof.
Daycare dogs are sorted into playgroups by personality, size, energy level and play style, and split their day between indoor playrooms and an outdoor play yard, which the business says is the only one at a River North daycare. Members can watch through live play cams. Every dog needs a complimentary trial day before daycare or an overnight stay; a single daycare visit is $60, with multi-day packs and monthly memberships also available.
Overnight guests stay in private suites, from a $90 junior suite for dogs under 30 pounds to $110 deluxe and $125 master suites, with daily report cards for owners. The spa menu runs from basic and oatmeal baths to full grooms, de-shedding, ear cleaning and teeth brushing. The building also has a small retail area with treats and pet products, plus parking in the lot behind the building off Ohio Street.
Top Dog is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends; call 312-285-2429. Hours, pricing and trial-day booking are on topdogchicago.com.
