Ándale Market has been stocking its shelves on Clark Street in Andersonville since December 2020, when the shop opened as what its owners describe on their website as a love letter to the New York City bodega. The store is at 5232 N. Clark St.
The shelves mix pantry staples — sauces, oils, vinegars, pasta and spices — with tinned fish, charcuterie and specialty snacks. There’s also a rotating selection of sweets, drinks, and goods for pet, home and body care, plus books and tabletop items, sourced from small and local makers alongside imported finds.
Ándale Market has since opened a second location in Lincoln Park, but the Andersonville store on Clark Street remains part of its two-location lineup. More on the full assortment is on the Ándale Market website.
Ándale Market is open daily: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Current hours and online ordering are at andalemarket.com.
