> Chicago, IL- Organizations of Save Little Italy Chicago, Hands off Christopher Columbus,Safe Christopher Columbus Day will me holding a Press Conference in front of the United Center to explain Italian Americans contributions to Chicago and what Christopher Columbus means to them. We will also ask for for coach Greg Popovich’s to be replaced from San Antonio Spurs ownershipCoach for calling Italian Americans being “Proud of Hitler”. We will ask for people to Boycott Monday night’s game Bulls vs San Antonio Spurs game on Mon. 2/14/2022, We will also ask for the owners of the San Antinio Spurs to terminate Coach Gregg Popovich,for such a ignorant divisive comment. >
> We hope by bringing attention to this racist comment thus will help bring Italian Americans and Indigenous people to the table with a peacefull solution .What Coach Popovich did was cause divisiveness. His actions prompted an Italian American Church in LA to be Vandalized with hate, last Christopher Columbus Day. Hands off Columbus member Frank Coconate states” this comment by a NBA Coach causes hate to escalate between Italian Americans and the Indigenous people”. >
