Homicides dipped slightly in Chicago in March after having increased the previous month by 18 percent, according to statistics released today.
While homicides dropped across the city by 1.4 percent, 10 police districts saw a double-digit drop in homicides, the department said.
Total crime dropped by 8.1 percent across the city — the 27th consecutive month there has been a decrease in violent and property crimes, police said.
